One of the Ravalli County Museum’s signature Cultural Heritage events, Bitter Root Day is a festival with craft and food vendors, special exhibits, kids activities, a special sale of Bitterroot plants and more!

Each year we invite members of the Salish Tribe to join us from the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation to share their rich history and heritage with us through drumming, dancing and storytelling.

Join us in celebrating and preserving the Bitterroot plants and our place in the Salish homeland.
